A leading international law firm with a strong Scottish presence is looking to recruit an experienced
Real Estate Lawyer (2–4+ PQE)
to join its nationally recognised
Energy & Infrastructure team
. This is a rare opportunity to work at the forefront of the UK’s energy transition, supporting some of the country’s most ambitious and high-value renewable energy and infrastructure projects.
This role sits within a dedicated real estate practice that is fully embedded in the firm’s wider Energy & Infrastructure offering, providing specialist advice across the lifecycle of projects, from development and land assembly through to financing, disposal, and operation.
What You’ll Work On:
You’ll act for a range of high-profile clients across the UK and internationally, including utilities, developers, institutional investors, and major corporates. Projects include:
Onshore and offshore wind
developments
Solar PV
farms and hybrid renewables
Battery storage
and grid infrastructure
Hydrogen
and emerging clean energy technologies
Large-scale
infrastructure corridors
, ports, and energy hubs
Your work will focus on the real estate elements of these deals, including:
Site acquisition and assembly for development projects
Option agreements, leases, wayleaves, and easements
Due diligence for project finance and M&A transactions
Working alongside planning, construction, and regulatory specialists to deliver seamless, full-lifecycle advice
You’ll be supported by an expert team led by nationally recognised partners, and work closely with specialists across real estate, energy, and finance.
The Ideal Candidate:
Qualified in
Scotland
,
England & Wales
, or
dual-qualified
2–4+ PQE
, ideally with experience in the property aspects of energy/infrastructure deals
Strong technical grounding in real estate law and exposure to complex land or project work
Passionate about the
renewable energy sector
and contributing to the UK’s net zero goals
A confident communicator with a collaborative, client-focused mindset
