Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant - Mornings only Location: Kidderminster Contract Type: Long Term, part time Start Date: ASAP Job Description: We are looking for a part time teaching assistant to support a child in year 1 for mornings only. This child is based within the classroom however requires constant 1:1 support. The school are currently working with the parents to increase the hours spent in school so their is a potential the role may turn into a full time role. This child is still currently waiting for a EHCP so in the meantime the school are looking for someone who can work with the teachers to support the childs progress, helping adapt lessons and sometimes thinking of different activities to keep the student engaged. Key Responsibilities: Providing support to a students within KS1. Promoting inclusion and a positive learning environment. Working closely with teachers and other school staff to meet the individual needs of the student. Maintaining a safe and supportive classroom environment.Requirements: Relevant experience working as a Teaching Assistant in SEN or Alternate Provision schools is desirable but not essential. A passion for working with children and young people with special educational needs. Flexibility and adaptability to work in different school settings. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
