Business Development Manager - Starlink and other connectivity solutions
£40,000 Base Salary - £60,000 OTE (Uncapped) + Benefits | Onsite in Livingston, Scotland
Our client is a leading provider of innovative connectivity solutions – including satellite internet (LEO), SD-WAN, private 5G, and wireless networking – helping organisations across the UK and worldwide build reliable, secure, and scalable networks.
They are now seeking a
Business Development Manager
to drive new revenue growth and expand market presence across enterprise and specialist sectors. This role is central to positioning Starlink to customers as a solution to remote connectivity, as well as their broader portfolio of cutting-edge connectivity services.
The ideal candidate will combine strong sales expertise with a growth attitude. You do not need to be from a telecoms or IT sales background, but you must be hungry to achieve big things in the LEO-Sat industry. You'll work closely with Sales, Product, and Technical teams to drive adoption, secure new contracts, and establish long-term partnerships.
Responsibilities:
* Identify and pursue new business opportunities across enterprise, government, and industry verticals (e.g. Logistics, construction, rail).
* Develop and execute a sales strategy to grow revenues across LEO satellite connectivity, SaaS platform solutions, SD-WAN, and private 5G.
* Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline, managing opportunities from prospecting through to close.
* Conduct client meetings, presentations, and platform demonstrations, articulating value and ROI.
* Collaborate with Product and Technical teams to align solutions with customer needs and shape go-to-market approaches.
* Negotiate and close high-value contracts, ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction.
* Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform business development strategy.
* Represent the business at trade shows, industry events, and client workshops.
* Contribute to commercial planning, including pricing, proposals, and forecasting.
Requirements:
* 3+ years' experience in business development, sales, or account management (telecoms, SaaS, or satellite connectivity not essential).
* Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
* Strong client-facing and presentation skills; able to engage technical and commercial stakeholders.
* Commercially astute with strong negotiation and contract-closing skills.
* Excellent communication, networking, and relationship-building abilities.
* Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-growth, agile business.
