We are looking to appoint a new Business Development Manager with industry knowledge and aerospace experience to work alongside the senior management team within our Treatment business at our Stalybridge (Cheshire) site.

About the opportunity
As a Business Development Manager, you will play an integral part in identifying new business via new or existing clients, maintaining existing client relationships, working closely with the company Directors to develop and deliver the sales and marketing requirements.
You will use your industry knowledge and experience to keep up to date with market trends, our competitors and collect customer feedback in order to continuously improve the business.
You will also use your experience and direct client links to support projects which include new product introduction. Training will be provided to enable you to quote for new business if required offering proactive and agile solutions to our customers to ensure that their requirements are met.
As a key member of the management team, you will often be working off site in order to obtain new business. You will be required to provide regular updates to the senior leadership team with regard to the status of new opportunities.
Preferred Skills

Technical sales background with aerospace / engineering / manufacturing background. Knowledge of the Aerospace industries.

Excellent customer relationship management skills.
*
Good understanding of surface treatment processes.
*
Ability to read and understand technical drawings, specifications, a bill of material and conditions of supply.
*
Ability to discuss drawings/specifications with customers in detail and give appropriate advice.
*
Advanced Microsoft office skills (ideally Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Microsoft Projects).
*
Experience of using CRM systems.
*
Strong communication and influencing skills (both written and verbally).
*
Target driven with the ability to show resilience drive and determination.

Strong team player.
