We are working in partnership with a weing and inclusive school in Blackpool to recruit a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support students with SEND and SEMH needs on a 1:1 basis and within small group settings. This is a long-term role starting in September 2025, with the potential to be permanent for the right candidate.
Your new role
1. Provide tailored support to pupils with a range of SEND and SEMH needs
2. Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual learning plans
3. Foster a nurturing and positive learning environment
4. Support students both 1:1 and in small groups to help them achieve their full potential
5. Monitor progress and provide feedback to staff and parents
What you'll need to succeed
6. Previous experience working with SEND and/or SEMH students (school or care setting)
7. A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
8. Strongmunication and teamwork skills
9. A genuine passion for supporting children’s development
10. Relevant qualifications (, Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, CACHE, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.
