Are you an organised, proactive Bookkeeper looking to take the next step in your career? We're looking for a PQ / AAT Bookkeeper to join our team and support our finance function.
Key Responsibilities
1. Maintain accurate sales and purchase ledgers
2. Process invoices, payments, expenses, and receipts
3. Prepare and post journals, accruals, and prepayments
4. Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cashflow
5. Assist with monthly management accounts preparation
6. Support budget monitoring and reporting
7. Prepare information for year-end accounts and audits
8. Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures
9. Support with gift aid, restricted funds, and other charity-related tasks (if applicable)
10. Liaise with suppliers, staff, and external partners as needed
11. General financial administration and ad-hoc finance support
What we're looking for
12. PQ or AAT-qualified (or working towards) Bookkeeper
13. Xero experience is highly desirable
14. Charity sector experience is a bonus, but not essential
15. Strong communication skills and a high level of attention to detail
16. Someone commutable to our office - we value in-person collaboration but offer hybrid flexibility
