Main Duties
In this pivotal role you will:
* Offer expert clinical advice to colleagues and other healthcare professionals.
* Run your own clinics and provide high‑quality, safe care to patients.
* Guide and supervise the team, sharing specialist knowledge and supporting clinical development.
* Collaborate with the multidisciplinary foot team at the local hospital to expand clinical experience.
* Participate in clinical audits, provide leadership in evidence‑based practice, and facilitate staff change management.

Person Specification – Qualifications (Essential)
* BSc (Honours) or equivalent in Podiatric Medicine
* Registered with the Health & Care Professions Council
* Minimum of 5 years post‑registration experience
Person Specification – Qualifications (Desirable)
* A postgraduate module at masters level in Diabetes or Wound Care
* Leadership qualification
Knowledge and Expertise (Essential)
* General knowledge in all podiatric specialities and medical conditions affecting foot health
* Demonstrable effective clinical leadership and understanding of Leadership Theories
* Excellent communication skills across staff, patients, carers, GPs, presentations, and written reports
* Ability to challenge current practices and implement evidence‑based recommendations
* Knowledge and application of local and national policy direction relevant to practice
* Proven experience of clinical audit and facilitation of staff audit work
* Empowering staff to manage change and support clinical development and innovation
* Evidence of sound IT skills and ability to interpret research for practice improvement
Experience (Essential)
* Successfully managed a project demonstrating communication and implementation of change
* Knowledge and experience of facilitation of reflective practice for staff and personal reflective practice
* Proven understanding and experience of the clinical and corporate governance agenda
* Supervision of other staff and students, including clinical supervision of specialists
