The Role:
We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and motivated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers, SENCO, and external professionals to provide tailored support to pupils with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support pupils with SEN in both classroom and small group/1:1 settings.
* Assist with differentiated learning activities and provide targeted interventions.
* Promote inclusion, independence, and positive behaviour.
* Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
* Help monitor progress and provide feedback to the class teacher and SENCO.
* Support with personal care needs where required.
About You:
* Experience working with children, ideally within an SEN setting (school or otherwise).
* Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting children's learning.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Ability to adapt to changing situations and meet individual pupil needs.
* Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential.
