QA/QC Engineer

Role Purpose
Building up and updating ISO 9001 Management System. Communicating with each section member and consultant.
Key Accountabilities
1. Promoting certification acquisition together with ISO 9001 consultant
2. Preparation and compilation of company quality documents
3. Company calibration management and operation
4. Planning and management of quality-related events
5. Creation of quality policy
6. Creation, goal setting, and management of quality KPIs
7. Preparation and maintenance of quality manuals
8. Management of documents in the QA department
9. Material supplier management and audit operations
10. Management of plans and progress of each department based on quality policy
11. Planning and operation of internal quality audits
12. Planning and management of management reviews
13. Regular production line audit
14. Various responses to process defects
15. Planning and operation of customer satisfaction surveys
16. Confirm shipping approval evidence
17. Customer audit response
Preferred Knowledge / Skills / Experience
1. Experience in the field of HV and EHV power cable tests
2. Familiarity with electrical and power cable test instruments
3. Knowledge of manufacturing EH & EHV power cables
4. Ability to organize testing plans and procedures
5. Knowledge of international standards concerning cables
6. Experience in managing ISO 9001 related events
7. Supplier audit experience
8. Experience in equipment calibration, asset, and maintenance management
About our project in Port of Nigg, Highland
Sumitomo Electric is a leading global manufacturer of high-end electricity transmission cables, up to 525kV HVDC. The new factory at Nigg, with an investment of £350M, aims to support the UK Net Zero Target by providing critical electricity transmission infrastructure, including offshore wind energy. The factory will create over 150 jobs in the Scottish Highlands, utilizing local supply chains for cable production and construction.
