Due to the upcoming retirement of our long-standing estimator, we are looking for an experienced Estimator to join our established carpentry and joinery business based in Basildon.
We are a small-to-medium sized company working predominantly with main contractors, delivering a wide range of bespoke joinery and carpentry projects across the commercial and residential sectors.

* Windows & doors.
* Bespoke desks and cabinetry.
* Architectural joinery.
* Labour-only carpentry packages.
* Full joinery fit-out packages.
* Bespoke manufactured joinery.
Project values range from smaller works of around £1,000 through to larger contracts in excess of £400,000.
The Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Pricing and estimating a variety of carpentry and joinery projects.
* Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documentation.
* Carrying out site visits and taking measurements where required.
* Liaising with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
* Preparing basic workshop sketches when necessary.
* Supporting the pre-construction and tender process.
About You:
We are looking for someone who:
* Has proven estimating experience within carpentry and/or joinery.
* Possesses a strong practical understanding of construction and joinery methods.
* Is organised, detail-focused, and commercially aware.
* Communicates confidently with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
* Can work independently and manage their own workload.
