MCS Group is delighted to be partnering with a well-established and community-focused organisation based in Derry/Londonderry, with deep roots in supporting the local farming, retail, and manufacturing sectors. Due to growth and recent developments across multiple business units, they are now seeking a Commercial Manager to join their senior management team. This is a unique and diverse leadership opportunity that would suit a commercially minded and people-focused individual looking to make a real difference across a range of business functions. From retail to agriculture to manufacturing, no two days will be the same.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee and support multiple business units including a local convenience retail outlet, agricultural country store, cafe, and a specialist ceramics supply business.
* Ensure all commercial units are working within budget, hitting KPIs, and running efficiently.
* Engage with businesses and ensure effective operations as well as positive staff culture.
* Lead commercial and B2B development, targeting key decision-makers and identifying growth opportunities across sectors.
* Contribute at a senior management level to strategic business planning and process improvements.
* Support cross-departmental collaboration and process mapping to drive efficiency and customer satisfaction.
* Play a hands-on role in community engagement and relationship building across the local area.
* Prepare for future involvement in additional areas of the business
Essential Criteria
* Strong background in commercial or business development roles
* Demonstrated experience managing teams and operational budgets.
* Commercially and analytically minded, with the ability to set and monitor KPIs.
* Excellent communication, relationship-building, and organisational skills.
* Flexible, adaptable, and comfortable managing change in a busy environment.
* Confident working independently and as a core part of a senior leadership team.
