About the Role
Due to continued growth, our client is seeking an experienced pensions solicitor to join their pensions team within the Employment, Pensions and Immigration National Service Line (NSL). This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a successful and expanding team, to take a key role on client matters, and to support the development of junior colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
1. Undertake a broad mix of pensions work, supporting trustee, employer, and public-sector pensions clients.
2. Advise a wide range of corporate and commercial clients, including those operating defined benefit schemes across sectors such as education, media, healthcare and charities.
3. Work collaboratively with colleagues across banking, commercial, corporate and employment teams.
4. Support two partners, a Principal Associate, and an Associate, while also working alongside and mentoring junior lawyers.
Experience Required
5. Strong technical and legal knowledge of pensions law.
6. Ability to deliver high-quality, commercially focused advice.
7. Strong client relationship skills and commitment to exceptional client service.
8. Proven involvement in business development.
9. Experience in bulk annuity transactions, public-sector pensions (employer or trustee side), corporate transaction support, and day‑to‑day scheme advisory work.
Client Service Expectations
10. Deliver outstanding service to internal and external clients to support retention and referrals.
11. Understand clients’ legal, commercial and service needs.
12. Provide training to clients and target clients.
13. Supervise junior lawyers where appropriate.
Additional Information
The successful candidate will contribute actively to business development, including cross‑office travel when required.

Who You’ll Work With
14. A pensions team spanning multiple sectors including commercial, health, higher education, sport and charities.
15. Part of a cross‑office Employment, Pensions and Immigration NSL of + lawyers, supported by dedicated professional support lawyers.
16. Attendance at NSL training sessions and sector away days will form part of the role.
