Are you a passionate and enthusiastic Climate Change Officer? We want you!
Addressing climate change and meeting ambitious net zero targets is a priority on local, regional, and national agendas. Our Energy & Climate Change Team is actively developing and implementing our Climate Change Action Plan and Environment Strategy across the Council and the Kirklees district.
We are offering an exciting opportunity for an individual passionate about climate change to work alongside the Energy & Climate Change Group Leader and Senior Climate Change Officer in developing and implementing the Climate Change Programme.
This role will support the Group Leader in delivering the Council’s commitments to reducing its carbon footprint and enhancing resilience to climate change. Responsibilities include developing and executing the programme, building effective relationships, and representing the Council with key stakeholders across various services and partners.
You will oversee complex Climate Change projects and support the wider Energy and Climate Change service area. If you have experience analyzing and interpreting data, are a strong communicator, and can collaborate across teams and organizations, we would like to hear from you.
At Kirklees Council, we are committed to supporting your professional development with training and courses designed to help you achieve your potential.
