Year 3 Teaching Assistant – Full & Part TimeWarrington (Penketh) - September Start
Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a supportive primary school in the Penketh area of Warrington to recruit a committed Teaching Assistant to support a Year 3 class.
This opportunity is ideal for someone with Key Stage 2 experience who can confidently support pupils across the curriculum, including those who may require additional help with their learning or have SEND needs.
We are looking for individuals who:• Have experience working within a primary school setting, ideally in Key Stage 2• Hold a relevant qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent (desirable)• Have a good understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum• Are confident supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)• Can build strong relationships with pupils and encourage engagement• Are dependable, proactive, and flexible in their approach• Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or are willing to obtain one
Key responsibilities:• Supporting teaching and learning within a Year 3 classroom• Leading small group interventions in subjects such as English and Maths• Providing additional support for pupils with SEND• Assisting the class teacher with preparation of resources and classroom organisation• Promoting positive behaviour and supporting pupils’ wellbeing• Helping to maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
