Chef - Knook Camp (ESS - Compass Group)

Pay Rate: £14.57 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week
Contract: Full-time, site-based
Transport: Please note - the site is not on a public transport route
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and dependable Chef to join our catering team at Knook Camp, preparing and serving fresh, nutritious meals for approximately 500 Service Personnel daily in a busy military dining facility.
You'll work within a structured kitchen environment, supporting consistent food quality, safety standards, and efficient service delivery across all meal periods.
Shift Pattern
Early Shift: 05:30 - 14:00
Late Shift: 10:00 - 18:30
Meal Service Times
Breakfast: 07:00 - 08:00
Lunch: 12:00 - 13:00
Dinner: 17:00 - 18:00
What We're Looking For
Previous experience in a similar chef or catering role - essential
Relevant qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 2 or equivalent) - desirable
Strong understanding of food hygiene and health & safety
Reliable team player with a positive attitude
Ability to travel to site independently
