Electrical Fitter Job Opportunity
Location: East Kilbride, Lanarkshire
Duration: Temp to Perm
Rate: £14.09 PAYE or £18.47 Umbrella (whilst temping)
Hours: 7.30am - 4.30pm Mon to Thurs, 7.30am - 12pm Fri
Our engineering client is currently recruiting for a full-time, temporary-to-permanent electrical fitter role based in East Kilbride. The role involves:
1. Assembly of electrical and mechanical products manufactured by the company.
2. Reading and working from electrical schematic drawings and following instructions from electrical engineers.
3. Fitting out control panels, including drilling, tapping back plates, attaching trunking, and cutting out enclosures.
4. Wiring of electrical control panels, including wire stripping, crimping, terminating, and soldering wire and cable assemblies.
5. Basic electrical safety and function testing of subassemblies.
6. Completing production checklists and timesheets.
7. Adhering to company health and safety policies, quality control processes, and procedures.
The list of responsibilities is not exhaustive; employees may be asked to perform other tasks within reason.
Profile, Skills, and Experience:
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in electrical panel wiring and assembly.
* Electrical HNC qualification or apprenticeship preferred.
* Ability to read, interpret, and work to electrical schematics and drawings.
* Energetic, enthusiastic, self-starting, and goal-oriented attitude.
