Are you a hands-on engineer who loves solving problems and keeping things running smoothly?
At Vitacress, we're looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our close-knit Engineering team. You'll play a key role in keeping our chilled food manufacturing site operating at its best—tackling breakdowns, leading planned maintenance, and delivering small but impactful improvement projects.
In this role, you will:
Jump into action to fix faults and reduce downtime
Carry out planned maintenance to keep machinery in top shape
Suggest smart improvements that boost efficiency and cut waste
Work alongside Production, Technical and Hygiene teams to get things done
Accurately record data to support continuous improvement and compliance
Ensure everything you do meets health & safety, food safety, and Vitacress standards
What you bring:
Solid engineering maintenance experience
Strong electrical & mechanical fault-finding skills
Confidence reading technical drawings and working with pneumatics
Fabrication and welding experience
A proactive, problem-solving mindset
A recognised engineering qualification (e.g., apprenticeship or graduate programme)
You're someone who thrives in a team but is equally confident working independently. You enjoy variety, learning, and taking responsibility—and you're always looking for ways to do things better.
