Overview
Upstream NI Schools Lead role at MACS Supporting Children & Young People. This is a leadership position to head Upstream NI, a new schools-based initiative aimed at preventing youth homelessness before crisis hits. You will deliver and scale an innovative early intervention model across Northern Ireland, working within schools to identify young people at risk of housing instability and connect them and their families with the right support early on.

Responsibilities
* Lead the design, delivery, and scaling of Upstream NI within schools to prevent youth homelessness before crisis occurs.
* Build and maintain partnerships with schools, local services, and families; coordinate with MACS teams.
* Ensure the programme aligns with international best practice and local needs.
* Lead a multidisciplinary team; monitor outcomes and impact; report to senior management.
* Contribute to recruitment, governance, and resource planning as required.
Qualifications
* Experience in youth work, safeguarding, housing/homelessness prevention, education, or related fields.
* Demonstrated leadership experience and ability to work collaboratively with schools and partners.
* Strong communication, partnership-building, and project management skills.
* Knowledge of the Northern Ireland context and local services is desirable.
Employment details
* Post: Full Time, Fixed Term post (12 months with possibility of extension, subject to funding)
* Salary: £33,024
* Benefits: MACS pension contribution of 4% of salary; up to 41 days annual leave (including bank holidays); enhanced paid leave for Sick, Maternity and Carers leave; paid training days; flexible and remote working options
