Our client operates in the offshore, ports, shipping, oil, and gas industries and is seeking a Contract Support Engineer to join their Project Engineering team.
In this role, you will oversee continental contracts, providing support, technical assistance, maintenance scheduling, organizing repairs, resolving payment issues, crewing problems, and asset assurance.
The company supports the oil and gas industry and plans to expand significantly over the next 12 months following new global contract wins.
This is a permanent, office-based position responsible for managing a crane and lifting client contract, ensuring delivery across quality, timescale, health and safety, and maintenance aspects.
Key duties include:
* Acting as the client’s representative to ensure departmental contractual commitments are met.
* Minimizing maintenance backlog and promptly identifying safety-critical maintenance issues.
* Providing first-line technical support and coordinating client requirements, including breakdowns.
* Delivering contracted services related to safety, quality, personnel, equipment, maintenance, and project delivery.
* Handling client account activities such as mobilizations, demobilizations, debt management, equipment needs, sales inquiries, meetings, planning, and technical support.
* Supporting client asset planning and capability enhancement.
* Managing maintenance and crewing of offshore assets.
Ideal candidates will have previous experience in a similar role, with strong technical knowledge of cranes. Clear communication of performance standards, client management experience, and a focus on customer service are essential. A background as a Project Engineer or Account Manager, with qualifications in mechanical, electrical, or lifting engineering, is preferred.
