The Role The school is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Music Technician to support the Music Department. This role involves preparing equipment for lessons and performances, maintaining instruments and supporting both staff and students during practical sessions and school productions. The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring the smooth operation of music lessons, rehearsals and performances. Responsibilities • Prepare instruments and equipment for music lessons and rehearsals • Maintain and organise the department’s instruments and resources • Support staff and students during practical music sessions • Assist with the setup and operation of sound equipment for performances • Support school concerts, rehearsals and musical productions • Maintain recording equipment and digital music software • Manage equipment inventories and coordinate repairs where required • Ensure safe storage and handling of instruments and technical equipment School Environment The Music Department is an inspiring and collaborative environment where students are encouraged to explore their musical interests and develop performance skills.
