This Occupational Therapy role offers the chance to experience clinical practice in the acute setting. We have enthusiastic and experienced clinical teams, who will support your development.
You will have opportunities to support staff and students, as well as drive and lead in service development projects and quality patient care. The Trust actively promotes staff development through a structured support process, which will be available to you for both clinical and managerial supervision and encouragement to explore other learning opportunities.

Main duties of the job
4. To be a team member contributing to the delivery of therapy services across the Medicine speciality, alongside the senior leadership team.
5. To provide specialist advice to therapy staff and other members of the multidisciplinary team and wider team.
6. To use client-centred approaches to patient care.
7. To participate in and provide clinical and management supervision.
8. To contribute to multi-disciplinary team working.
9. To contribute to and lead on service improvement and quality initiatives.
10. To use the Trust electronic patient record system.
11. To abide by all Trust policies and procedures.
12. To be able to respond flexibly and creatively to challenges.

Experience and Knowledge
Essential criteria
20. Experience in a relevant junior role, including the management of a range of conditions.
21. Developed / Specialist clinical skills within relevant area
22. Delivery of relevant audit and service improvement
Desirable criteria
23. Experience of working in a client-driven/NHS environment.
24. Practice placement supervisor qualification
25. Experience of training/supporting/supervising others (including students)
Qualifications and Training
Essential criteria
26. Degree in Occupational Therapy
27. HCPC Registered Occupational therapist
28. Evidence of specialist post graduate CPD activities
29. Evidence of post graduate training within specialist area
Skills and Abilities
Essential criteria
30. I am able to communicate complex information effectively, clearly, and accurately
31. I am organised, prioritise my own workload.
32. I can use my own initiative, exercise judgment, resolve problems and stay calm under pressure.
