Within the range £27,702 to £41,892 per annum *Starting salary subject to college salary assessment process
35 hours per week, 52 weeks per year (1 FTE)
We are currently seeking a new Lecturer in Renewable Energy Sources to be part of our fantastic and rapidly growing/developing Directorate in Engineering, Construction and Building Technologies. This new post will serve the growing demand for courses delivered from our Netzero Skills Centre for both short commercial courses for industry professionals, and apprentices learning their trade.
We are seeking applicants who have experience in the Renewable Energy Industry, and we are particularly interested in applicants who are able to teach/ train individuals about solar photovoltaic energy systems, electric energy storage systems, air and ground source heat pumps, and those who are familiar with delivering the BPEC training courses.
Ideally, you will have experience of working with young people within either a college setting or perhaps onsite working as a mentor to apprenticeship learners. You will have the ability to motivate and inspire, setting clear targets and monitoring progress to ensure our students have the support they need to succeed.
You will need to be organised with the ability to multi-task and communicate with a range of audiences including working closely with the Director for the area. A key feature of the role will be to ensure the Netzero Skills Centre environment within which assessment activities are conducted is safe, suitable for use and compliant with all relevant legislation.
This post is based at our Ipswich campus, however, Suffolk New College is a multi-campus site therefore you may be required to work at and travel between other campuses.
