Working Pattern: Part‑time, 18.5 hours per week, worked across at least 3 days, including evening work during term time and a mix of daytime and evening hours during school holidays; occasional weekends.

Salary: £30,024-£32,597 pro rata

Location: Lincolnshire, East Lindsey district

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Future4Me team in Lincolnshire as a Youth and Community Development Worker, working with young people who may need support in making a positive transition to adulthood. The team currently has one permanent, part‑time Youth and Community Development Worker post in the East Lindsey district.

Due to recent changes in immigration law in the UK we are unable to offer skilled worker visa sponsorship for this role as it does not meet the requirements of RQF Level 6.

About You

Are you able to build relationships quickly and effectively with young people? Do you have a calming influence and be able to reassure and support young people? Are you confident working with groups of teenagers? Do you have an understanding of the current societal trends and challenges that impact young people? Do you want a role where you can shape and assist with youth service development?

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic person to work with individuals and groups to help them identify their own needs and plan a positive way forward. You will be able to communicate, inspire and work restoratively with a range of people. You will work on your own and as part of a team collaborating seamlessly with other project strands in the programme, ensuring the timely and accurate completion of routine tasks, documents and reports to meet service goals.

A full UK driving licence and access to a car are essential for this role, as travel around the county is required. Insurance for business use on your vehicle is also required.

About the role

The primary aim is to engage and support young people 8‑18, to move successfully through education into adulthood and working life through community provision and targeted interventions.

The role will support and at times lead the planning, delivery and evaluation of youth provision and interventions across identified locations in Lincolnshire, using a strength‑based and relational approach to enable young people to access a range of opportunities whilst supporting those at risk and most vulnerable.

Through high‑quality provision via open access, group work, holiday activities, one‑to‑one and outreach opportunities, including interventions supporting those at risk of antisocial behaviour and entering the youth justice service, you will help enhance young people’s personal and social skills, producing identifiable positive outcomes and lasting change.

Work collaboratively across the wider Children’s services teams, community, and partner agencies to ensure that young people receive a seamless and effective service.
