FulljobdescriptionCommercialVehicleTechnicianOurclient,basedinNorthLondon,islookingforaCommercialVehicleTechniciantojointheirteamJobPurpose:CommercialVehicleTechnicianTransportServicesmanagesthemaintenanceandrepairofthecouncil'svehiclefleet/plant/equipment,inaccordancewithlegalregulations,leasecompany'sandmanufactures'standardsandtargets.TheCommercialVehicleTechnician(Level3)roleistosupporttheWorkshopManagerbyundertakingthemaintenanceofthecouncil'sfleet,includingthirdpartyandplantmaintenanceprocessesarecarriedouteffectivelytomeettheservicesobligations,inatimelyandcost-effectivemanner.Keyaccountabilities:CommercialVehicleTechnicianToassistinthedeliveryofanefficientandeffectiveTransportWorkshopService,throughtheundertakingmaintenanceofthecouncil'sfleet,includingthirdpartyvehicularandplantfleetmaintenance,inaneffectiveandsafemanner.Dutiesincludetheindividual'scombinedandeffectiveuseofskills,expertise,andthetechnicalresourcesoftheTransportWorkshop,inrespectofinspection,servicingandrepairofvehicles,plantandtheirassociatedcomponents,employingsuchskillsandknowledgeasmayberequiredwithdueregardtoensuringthefleetismaintainedinalegalandroadworthycondition.Toassistinsupportingofsolutionsthatwillenablethecompliancewiththecouncil'soperators'license,appropriatelegislation,council'spolicies,andperformancestandards.Promotecontinuousimprovementand'rightfirsttime'culture,withintheTransportWorkshopteam.Thecouncil'sdesignatedVOSAMOTStationNominatedTester,responsibleforundertakingMOTTests(Class4,5&7).Toassistintheprovisionoftheday-to-dayTransportWorkshopadministrationandFleetwaveIToperationalsupport.TPBN1_UKTJ
