Responsibilities
* Financial management of up to 4 or 5 sites of varying complexity; set up budgets, produce bi‑monthly valuations, appoint subcontractors and make payments to maintain cost control.
* Process weekly and monthly payments efficiently, resolve disputes, and provide accurate financial status for site work.
* Produce site valuations bi‑monthly and present to Board of Directors, indicating variations from budgeted figures.
* Negotiate optimum rates for subcontract appointments to maximise margins.
* Utilise Persimmon Group COINS system to set up new sites, establish budgets and predict profitability for financial planning verification.
* Liaise with other departments (Construction, Sales, Customer Care, Accounts) to ensure efficient operation of sites.
* Ensure compliance with Group’s Health, Safety & Environment Policy and promote safety across the team.
* When deputising for the Manager, allocate tasks, verify work quality, and maintain standards within company guidelines.
* Mentor and train junior team members to develop their skills and increase productivity in the region.
* Assist the Manager with key business decisions and participate in regional meetings as subject expert.
Qualifications
* Minimum HND/HNC in building related studies.
* Previous experience in the UK residential house building sector.
* Fully conversant with Microsoft Word and Excel.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Exceptional project management and time‑management skills, with ability to oversee multiple projects at different stages.
