GEOLOGIST / ENGINEERING GEOLOGIST

As the company grows and develops, they are expanding and have a great opportunity for a dedicated Geologist / Engineering Geologist
They are looking for reliable, flexible and driven Geologists/Engineering Geologists to join the Geotechnical Team. As a member of Geotechnical, you will be exposed to a variety of unique projects throughout the country. It is key that you have the balance to be proactive and independent, while simultaneously being a strong team player. Good management skills, and a strong understanding with experience in the industry are vital in order to succeed in this role.
The tasks you will undertake will include (but are not limited to):
* Prepare Health & Safety documentation prior to and during the site works phase, as well as assisting with the managing the Health & Safety of operatives and promoting a safe working environment
* Logging of Soil and Rock in accordance with the specification and BS5930
* Act as a Site Agent or a support role, supervising multiple activities and staff for short and longer term projects
* Managing and collating site data using company software systems
* Be able to write factual reports
To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:
Confident and knowledgeable of ground investigation techniques
A minimum level of fitness required to undertake all site based tasks listed above on a variety of sites including active construction sites and linear projects for roads and railways.
Look for ways to improve processes, systems, procedures, services and delivery in all roles
Improve skills, knowledge and experience wherever possible
Computer literate and competent in use of MS Office to create spreadsheets and documents for effective reporting, communication and record keeping
