We are now seeking an experienced Programme Director to oversee the delivery of a £700 million transformation programme designed to expand passenger capacity and elevate the airport experience. The Role:
As Construction Delivery Director, you will take full accountability for delivering the construction, commissioning, and operational integration of a complex and multi-year infrastructure programme. You will:
Lead a high-performing internal team and an integrated network of consultants and contractors.
Ensure safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of key workstreams, including terminal expansion, airfield upgrades, baggage systems, landside access, IT infrastructure and more.
Be responsible for commercial outcomes, risk mitigation, and programme governance.
Collaborate with senior leadership and key business stakeholders to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
Key Stats:
£700 million capital investment delivered over 3 years
Leadership of a core delivery team plus external consultant and supply chain partners
Management of works contracts valued at over £500 million
Expansion to enable capacity for up to 43 million passengers per year
Who We're Looking For:
We're looking for a commercially astute, forward-thinking infrastructure leader with:
15+ years' experience in delivering complex capital projects (aviation or major transport infrastructure desirable)
Proven ability to manage end-to-end programme delivery from design to handover
A collaborative leadership style with experience managing multi-disciplinary teams
Strong understanding of safety, compliance, risk, and commercial frameworks
Professional accreditation (e.g. RICS, APM, CIOB, ICE, RIBA)
