Alba Early Years Day Nursery is part of a small family run nursery group, set up specifically to deliver the very best in early years education. It is located in the pavilion of the rugby fields and enjoys amazing light and great outdoor space. We focus on helping our pupils learn long term wellbeing skills and connecting with nature on day to day basis. Our baby room is small - only 6 babies - and is part of the main floor, allowing practitioners from the pre-schooler room to support our baby room practitioners. We are a small team and strived to deliver the very best for our pupils.
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Baby Room Practitioner to join our team. As a Baby Room Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing a safe and stimulating environment for infants in our care. Your role will involve engaging with babies through play, providing basic care needs, and ensuring their overall well-being. Responsibilities - Create a warm and welcoming environment for babies in the room - Interact with infants through play, singing, and storytelling - Provide basic care needs such as feeding, changing diapers, and maintaining cleanliness - Follow established routines and schedules to ensure consistency for the babies - Observe and monitor each baby's development and report any concerns to the supervisor - Collaborate with parents to understand their child's individual needs and preferences - Maintain accurate records of each baby's daily activities, including feeding, sleeping, and diaper changes - Ensure the safety of all babies by following health and safety guidelines Experience - Previous experience working with infants or young children is preferred - Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate activities - Ability to communicate effectively with both children and parents - Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with babies - Strong observation skills to monitor each baby's progress and well-being If you are passionate about providing quality care for infants and creating a nurturing environment where they can thrive, we would love to hear from you.
