Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Assistant to join our dynamic finance team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of the organisation, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial reporting and administrative tasks. *The person must be fully experienced in Xero accounts software*
Duties
* Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports, ensuring all data is accurate and timely.
* Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, invoices, and receipts.
* Process payments and manage accounts payable and receivable functions.
* Support the monthly reconciliation of bank statements and other financial accounts.
* Assist with budgeting processes by providing necessary data and insights.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
* Respond to inquiries from internal departments regarding financial transactions and reports.
* Provide administrative support to the finance department as needed.
Requirements
* A degree or relevant qualification in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred but not essential.
* Strong numerical skills with a keen eye for detail.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; experience with accounting software is an advantage.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn new skills.
