This is a permanent opportunity to work within a skilled production team, producing high-specification instrumentation products to the highest quality standards. Location: Wellingborough Salary: £36,500 per annum Hours: 40 hours per week Monday - Thursday: 07:00 - 16:15 // Friday: 07:00 - 12:00 Contract: Permanent The Role: You will be responsible for carrying out high-quality TIG welding within a production environment, working to strict quality and technical standards. Key responsibilities include: Carrying out TIG welding to produce precision instrumentation products Working predominantly with stainless steel to a very high standard Supporting assembly-related processes such as pressure testing and leak testing Reading and interpreting manufacturing drawings and work instructions Supporting production engineering with shop floor documentation Maintaining welding equipment and ensuring bays are kept clean and organised Supporting customer inspection activity Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives Following all Health & Safety procedures including PPE and manual handling The Ideal Candidate Must: Have a minimum of 5 years' TIG welding experience within a high-technology manufacturing environment Have experience welding stainless steel to a high standard Be confident reading technical drawings and specifications Demonstrate strong accuracy, speed, and consistency Have experience of welder coding (EN287-1 / ASME IX / PED desirable) Be self-motivated, hands-on, and able to work unsupervised Be comfortable working in a clean, production-based environment Desirable: Recognised engineering qualification (C&G, BTEC or similar) Experience welding exotic materials such as 316, Duplex or Super Duplex Experience within small-batch or capital equipment manufacturing Occasional MIG welding capability Benefits: 24 days annual leave (increasing with service) Paid Birthday Leave Option to sell unused annual leave Up to 5% employer pension contribution Life assurance (4x basic salary) Health cash plan Private medical insurance Professional subscriptions 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme Enhanced sick pay If this role sounds of interest to you then please apply with an up-to-date CV.
