About the opportunity: We are the internal recruitment partner for our client, a well-established independent, family-owned enterprise that has been a cornerstone of the UK’s food-service distribution sector for five decades. We are presenting an exciting opportunity for a highly meticulous Commercial Analyst to join the dedicated Commercial team. This pivotal role will provide data-driven insight that shapes financial decision making. Responsibilities: Build and customise sales and margin reports using Cosmos and Dynamics 365 Business Central. Analyse customer and product profitability, identifying gaps and improvement opportunities. Agree and monitor customer-specific pricing outside standard models. Review competitor pricing and support commercial teams with pricing decisions. Set sales targets, monitor internal sales performance, and calculate bonuses. Support budget preparation and identify growth opportunities through data insights. Report on promotional performance and help shape future campaigns. Produce KPIs and reporting to support resource and operational decisions Requirements Proven experience in a data-analysis or commercial-analysis role Advanced Excel skills and a data analysis software, ideally Cosmos or Power BI. A strong numerical, logical mindset and the ability to translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights. Proven experience of business partnering Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. Graduate-calibre education in finance, maths, business, economics or a related field. Commercial acumen, meticulous attention to detail and excellent organisational skills. Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to regional depots.
