To provide professional analysis, reconciliation, and data entry for accounts payable
transactions that assist VCE to achieve strategic objectives for profitability, quality products & services, and customer loyalty in a manner that is accurate, complete, on time and in compliance with applicable DOC, VCE, and DOA policies and procedures including the Virginia Prompt Payment Act.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience in A/P processes. Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Practices (GAAP). Experience analyzing and processing financial transactions and resolving account discrepancies. Experience auditing and processing high volume work
responsibilities. Considerable experience with Word and Excel. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written. Ability and desire to provide excellent customer service, stay organized, work independently, and provide attention to detail.
Additional Considerations
Prior accounts payable and payroll processing experience; Experience with the state’s accounting policy; Experience with PeopleSoft, eVA and Cardinal; Experience with state and agency policies and procedures; Experience in payroll systems or other automated financial and accounting systems.
