We are seeking an experienced Conveyancing Secretary/Legal Assistant to join our busy and supportive Property team in our Ashford office. This is a full-time role offering an excellent opportunity to be part of a progressive and growing legal practice.
You will provide dedicated secretarial and administrative support to our conveyancing lawyers, ensuring the smooth running of their caseload.
Key responsibilities include:
* Preparing and formatting legal property documents, correspondence, and Land Registry/transaction paperwork
* Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders, and third parties professionally and efficiently
* Managing diaries, arranging appointments, and maintaining case files
* Handling telephone and email enquiries with discretion and professionalism
* Carrying out general administration tasks to support the department
The ideal candidate will have:
* Previous experience as a legal secretary, ideally within residential conveyancing
* Fast and accurate audio typing skills
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Excellent communication skills and a client-focused approach
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management systems
* Ability to manage competing priorities and work under pressure in a busy team
