We’re looking for a proactive and knowledgeableHR Casework Officerto join our dedicated HR team atJohn Leggott College. In this key role, you’ll lead on a wide range of employee relations matters, ensuring fair, consistent, and legally compliant outcomes that support our inclusive and high-performing culture.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Managing HR casework from start to finish, including disciplinary, grievance, capability, probation, and sickness cases.
* Coordinating investigations, hearings, and appeals.
* Advising managers on employment law and policy compliance.
* Supporting the HR Manager and deputising when required.
* Assisting with broader HR functions such as recruitment, payroll, and administration.
What We’re Looking For
* CIPD qualified (or working towards) with strong knowledge of employment law.
* Proven experience in HR casework and working with trade unions.
* Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to manage multiple complex workstreams and meet tight deadlines.
* Experience in the education sector is desirable but not essential.
