A Vacancy at Northumbria Healthcare - NHCT Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. A Reception Services Team Leader opportunity based at Wansbeck General Hospital, covering Morpeth View Reception.
Responsibilities
* Provide daily supervision, co-ordination and training of staff within the department to ensure targets are met and high-quality service is provided.
* Organise own workload and plan the department daily workload; ensure reception areas are covered at all times to provide excellent customer care and enhance the patient experience.
* Provide an efficient reception service, including the retrieval and dispatch of patient case notes in a timely manner to meet clinician needs across the Trust.
* Input patient data accurately onto the Patient Administration System (PAS).
* Work closely with colleagues in the Health Records Department and with wards/departments across the Trust; handle queries from internal and external sources.
* Assist in the development and improvement of the centralised service and support the department’s move to a digital patient record.
* Be flexible to cover various shifts, including weekends and Bank Holidays, often at short notice, and travel to other sites within the Trust as required.
Qualifications and Skills
* Good communication and organisational skills.
* Proven knowledge and experience in Health Records practice.
* Good numeracy and literacy skills; knowledge of the Data Protection Act and its application to the Health Records Department.

* The post will be based at Wansbeck, with occasions where work at other sites within the Trust is required.
