We are recruiting to permanent High Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapist posts in Hillingdon Talking Therapies. We wish to invite applications from qualified and qualifying CBT therapists who are enthusiastic, committed and want to develop their clinical skills within an experienced and friendly team.
We will require the postholders to work on site in Uxbridge two days a week, including one evening to 7pm. Parking is not available on site but the base is close to public parking and transport links.
You would join a diverse and innovative team that focusses on developing clinical, supervisory, leadership and management skills for staff, and have great CPD and support.
You will receive excellent and supportive supervision from BABCP accredited CBT therapists in the service and offered CPD opportunities.
Our Ethnic, Diverse and Inclusive service focus includes reflective practice and we hold month reflective practice groups for CBT therapists. Staff wellbeing and compassionate leadership are priorities in our service, with a focus on clinical skills and development.
Main duties of the job
Applicants for this position will provide service-wide assessments, CBT assessment for treatment and treatment interventions at step 3 of the service and also attend team meetings and training. The role is partly-remotely based, which means that there will be a requirement to demonstrate experience of, and work effectively, via telephone or video.
As an NHS Talking Therapies service, we provide Low intensity and High Intensity psychological therapies within a stepped care model at steps 2 and 3. Our team has Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners, High Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapists and High Intensity Counsellors providing a range of modality interventions, as well as Assistant Psychologists and trainees, and a supportive administrative team.
We are looking for applicants who have enthusiasm for working in a primary care setting, who are adaptable, enjoy variety, and working independently as well as within a team context.
In order to be shortlisted for this post, applicants must be BABCP fully or provisionally accredited or have attended a BABCP accredited CBT training course.
