Overview
A well-established and growing engineering manufacturer operating within a highly specialised sector is looking to recruit an Assembly Team Leader to join their production team. The business supports a range of advanced industries, delivering high-quality, technically complex products and solutions.
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the assembly team within a manufacturing environment
* Work collaboratively with other team leaders to meet customer requirements
* Allocate resources effectively to ensure on-time, in-full delivery
* Support assembly staff with day-to-day technical queries and issues
* Provide updates on sales and work orders, including reasons for any delays
* Maintain visual production schedules and skills matrices
* Train, develop and onboard new team members in line with company standards
* Monitor quality of work and ensure all documentation is completed accurately
* Drive continuous improvement and lean initiatives to improve efficiency
* Ensure compliance with quality standards, build procedures and ESD requirements
* Promote high standards of housekeeping and safe working practices
* Review and improve procedures and working standards
The Candidate
* Previous supervisory or team leadership experience within manufacturing
* Experience within an electronics or assembly-based environment
* Good understanding of mechanical assembly processes
* Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Hands-on approach with the ability to support the team on the shop floor
