We’re building a new Museum for Waitaha Canterbury – a world-class facility for the taonga (treasures) we care for and a place to tell the stories of our region and the people who live here.
We’re seeking a forward-thinking technologist and leader with a broad skill set. A solid understanding of both proprietary and open-source technologies, data integration, security, performance optimisation and scalable architecture is required. You’ll have a knowledgeable and strategic approach to emerging tech trends combined with a structured approach to complex problem solving.
This is a broadly scoped role where you’ll shape and deliver the transformation of our technology architecture, develop and mentor a team and liaise widely across the organisation. You’ll also take a hands-on role in system administration and development as required.
This is a fixed term contract role for 5 years as we move through a significant redevelopment and transformation journey. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for a creatively minded technologist to be an integral part of the wider team delivering a world-leading visitor experience within a fully redeveloped Museum.
