Service Manager
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead the aftersales operation for a busy and well-established dealership. This role is responsible for overseeing the service department’s performance, driving profitability, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction, and maintaining manufacturer and regulatory standards.
You will manage the service team, optimise workshop efficiency, and play a key role in developing both people and processes to support continued business growth.
Key Responsibilities

Manage the day-to-day operation of the service department

Lead, motivate, and develop service advisors, technicians, and support staff
*
Drive service revenue, productivity, and profitability
*
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention
*
Monitor and improve workshop efficiency and utilisation
*
Ensure compliance with manufacturer standards, health & safety, and FCA regulations
*
Handle escalated customer issues professionally and effectively
*
Manage service budgets, KPIs, and performance reporting
*
Liaise with manufacturers and senior management
Requirements
*
Proven experience as a Service Manager or Senior Aftersales Manager
*
Strong leadership and people management skills
*
Background within franchised or reputable independent dealerships
*
Commercially minded with strong KPI management experience
*
Excellent customer service and communication skills
*
Knowledge of warranty processes and manufacturer standards
*
Full UK driving licence
