We're looking for a skilled Infrastructure Engineer with a deep understanding of Active Directory and a solid background in supporting and maintaining a broad range of Microsoft technologies. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our IT infrastructure while contributing to ongoing transformation projects.
What you will be doing:
* Manage and maintain Active Directory, including Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and OU structure.
* Support and enhance infrastructure services across Windows Server, Microsoft Exchange, Office 365, and Azure AD.
* Implement and support patching strategies using tools like WSUS or SCCM/MECM.
* Troubleshoot and resolve 2nd/3rd line infrastructure issues.
* Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and security of systems.
* Participate in infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and project work.
* Contribute to documentation, change management, and process improvement initiatives.
What you will bring:
* Expert Active Directory experience in enterprise-scale deployments.
* Cloud experience using Microsoft Azure AD and/or Entra.
* Federation experience.
* Production experience working with Microsoft and/or Linux technologies across secure and highly available enterprise-scale environments.
* Experience in DNS, PKI, Active Directory, DHCP, and distributed file shares.
* Strong understanding of storage and backup technologies in physical and virtual environments.
* Working knowledge and hands-on experience building virtualization capabilities using Broadcom/VMware technologies.
* Experience supporting the design of complex systems and contributing to high-quality design documentation.
* Working knowledge of network security and TCP/IP networking.

Employment Details:
* Type: Full-time
* Location: Salisbury or Portsmouth
* Security Clearance Level: To be eligible for Developed Vetting (DV)
* Salary: Up to £62,000
* Benefits: £5,400 car allowance, 25 days annual leave with the option to buy additional days, private medical, life assurance, pension, and flexible benefits.
