Duties will include:-

\n
* Driving of Refuse, Recycling, Food Waste & White Goods/Bulky collection vehicles.
\n
* Ensuring collection of refuse & recycling routes on a daily basis in a safe and efficient manner adhering to Health & Safety and Safe Working Procedures.
\n
* Other tasks relating to Waste Collection Services functions.
\n

An excellent opportunity has arisen for recruitment within Facilities, Waste and Neighbourhood Services.
\n
We deliver a wide variety of frontline services and require a Senior Refuse & Recycling Operative at our depot in Cargen Tower, Dumfries.
\n
You will be expected to carry out various duties as instructed by the Waste Supervisor and have a working knowledge of Health and Safety requirements. You will be required to work as a team member.
\n
This post is considered as Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. From 28 February 2011, preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to formal offer of employment being made by Dumfries and Galloway Council.

Applicants who have been resident outside the UK within the last 5 years, if offered a position, in addition to a Disclosure Scotland Check, will be required to provide a completed police record check from the police authority in the country or countries in which they were resident.

\n
You will be educated to Standard Grade Level and have Class C, HGV Licence, and valid Driver CPC.
