Salary: £49,215 - £59,809 *
About the role
Permanent position and a temporary maternity cover. The role requires communication in Welsh. The educational psychologist will lead psychological services across Ceredigion to facilitate change and raise standards. A solution‑focused, preventative approach is adopted, with freedom to use a range of psychological techniques to benefit pupils. Applicants may begin immediately; students in Year 3 of their doctoral studies are also welcome.
Essential: HCPC registration and an Enhanced Adult and Child DBS check.
1. Provide assessment and intervention for pupils with additional learning needs, including supporting the ALN, Inclusion and Wellbeing Service.
2. Deliver psychological services in schools to promote educational inclusion and raise standards.
3. Work closely with schools to apply a solution‑focused, preventative approach and employ a range of psychological techniques.
Qualifications and requirements
* Registered with HCPC and maintaining active registration.
* Completed or in progress with Year 3 of a doctorate in educational psychology.
* Enhanced Adult and Child DBS check (required).
* Proficiency in Welsh language (essential, supported by the authority).
