About the Team:
The Private Sector Licensing and Enforcement team provides a frontline service to improve housing conditions within the private rented sector and bring properties up to standard. We support and advice private tenants, homeowners, and private landlords with the team working towards ensuring people renting privately live in decent houses and a place to call home.
The team is dynamic, forward thinking and plenty of opportunities for development and growth.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will carry out Environmental Health functions to enable the Council to meet its statutory obligations, in respect of private sector housing licensing including inspection, enforcement, education and advise. The role requires effective interpersonal and communication skills and the postholder will act as an Authorised Officer of the Council in the performance of the statutory functions in accordance with the current scheme of delegation.
