This is an opportunity for an Associate Fire Engineer to join our thriving team and develop the South-East region based out of our London office. Our Fire Engineering team is one of the UK’s largest within a leading multi-disciplinary consultancy. It’s known for quality and responsiveness, with representation in all regional capitals within the UK. You will work closely with colleagues across disciplines and have an existing project portfolio including high-profile projects with regional, national, and international clients.

We are a close-knit team valuing everyone's input and encouraging ideas. The Fire Engineering Division operates across six regions in the UK and internationally, with over 100 staff.

Your Role
As an Associate Fire Engineer, you will manage fire engineering projects, support the Director of Fire Engineering, lead a team, and develop new business opportunities.
* Lead project teams delivering fire design
* Manage project timelines and quality
* Contribute to design at all stages
* Assist in fee proposals and client development
* Review technical documents and fire strategies
* Support team well-being
Requirements
* BSc/BEng/MSc/MEng or equivalent
* Ideally affiliated with IFE or similar, with chartership
* Proven experience managing a project portfolio
* Understanding of planning processes and Building Safety Act
* Knowledge of fire safety codes (e.g., BS 9991, BS 9999, BS 9251, Fire Safety Order 2005, NFCC, BS7974, PAS 9980)
* Ability to manage multiple projects and develop client networks
* Leadership skills for developing junior team members
* Excellent communication skills
* Self-motivated and proactive
