General Assistant & Breakfast Cook

We're looking for a reliable and enthusiastic General Assistant to join our team, with a focus on preparing breakfast for our guests while also supporting front-of-house operations throughout the day and evening.
About the Role
As a General Assistant, you'll be a key part of our small, friendly team, helping ensure guests enjoy a welcoming atmosphere and a great overall experience. This role is perfect for someone with kitchen experience, a strong work ethic, and a passion for hospitality, who is also happy to assist with general hotel duties including bar service, check-in/check-out, and evening support.
Key Responsibilities
Breakfast & Kitchen Duties
* Prepare and serve breakfast for guests, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
* Assist with other kitchen duties, including food prep, cleaning, and stock management.
* Support breakfast and light meal service in the restaurant/bar area.
Front-of-House & Guest Services
* Welcome guests and assist with check-in and check-out processes.
* Handle guest inquiries in person, by phone, or online.
* Deliver friendly and professional bar and restaurant service.
General Hotel Support
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation in kitchen, dining, and public areas.
* Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure smooth operations.
* Support evening shifts and other duties as needed to keep the hotel running smoothly.
What We're Looking For
* Previous kitchen or catering experience is required.
* Reliable and punctual – early starts (6:30am/7:30am) and flexible for evening shifts.
* Friendly, professional approach with excellent customer service skills.
* Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Flexible and willing to assist wherever needed.
Work Schedule
* Early mornings and evenings as part of the schedule.
* Midweek and weekends included.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £10.00-£12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
