Pertemps are recruiting on their behalf for a Quality Engineer for their operations in Alcester.
Salary - up to £34k per annum
The role is a Day shift from Monday to Friday.
Main Goal
* Supporting the companies quality function in full achieving quality policies and objectives.
Duties and responsibilities
* Support the business in maintaining and improving quality systems to ISO9001.
* Management of internal and external quality issues using 8D and problem solving techniques.
* Carry out internal auditing to ISO 9001 / 14001 standards.
* Support the continuous improvement methodology within the business.
* Reading and understanding projection drawings.
* Use conventional measuring equipment (height gauges, vernier,micrometers,protractors etc
* Basic operation of CMM machinery.
* Raising and maintaining documentation including control plans, process flow, FMEA's, R & R studies, PSW/PPAP.
* Carry out capability studies improving the manufacturing process
Skills and experience required
* Previous expertise working in a quality engineering capacity within a manufacturing / production environment.
* Knowledge of fabrication, welding, laser cutting etc would be advantageous.
* Knowledge of ISO9001 is essential.
* Able to carry out internal auditing to ISO9001/14001
* Knowledge of 8D, Control Plans, FMEA's, PPAP, Process Flow Charts.
* Able to use a CMM machine
* Able to use conventional measuring equipment.
* High attention to detail and able to problem solve.
* Able to multi task.
* PC literate.
