Daytime Healthcare are assisting a leading children's care provider to find Team Leaders and a Deputy Manager to join a brand new children's home in Barnet, London.
The 4 bed children's home will offer a comprehensive residential service for young people with learning disabilities and associated challenging behaviour aged between 7-17 years.
Duties:
* To join a team of residential care staff ensuring that safe and appropriate care practices are always maintained
* To support the Manager in all aspects of the home’s operation, whilst maintaining positive childcare practice, in keeping with the aims and objectives of the home
* To provide a safe, warm and supportive environment to our residents whilst being involved in the planning and organisation of the home
* To maintain a regular recording system in connection with each young person, be involved in the implementation of care plans and assist in the publication of reports when required
* To attend review and planning meetings when required
Responsibilities:
* To foster and encourage, wherever appropriate contact between residents and their families
* To maintain good liaison and co-operate with external agencies, eg: social workers, consultant staff and others concerned with the welfare of the individual residents
* To demonstrate both sensitivity and appropriate assertiveness, whilst working in a pressured environment with groups of diverse residents and staff.
* Carry out the duties of the post in a mature and responsible manner, seeking and receiving support as necessary
Must hold Level 3 in Residential Childcare
Hours: This role works on a variable shift pattern across the 7 days of the week. A fixed pattern is not available. This will be for 3 long days and 1 sleep in per week.
