What you'll do: To support the EHS Manager in ensuring EHS compliance requirements are met via standardised processes and procedures, and ad-hoc activities where required. Responsible for co-ordination of all EHS training initiatives across the site, working closely with H&S champions to ensure targets are met. "- Assist in developing, implementing and maintaining the internal Integrated Management Systems (IMS) policies and procedures in line with ISO Standards. - Support EHS Inspections, internal and external audits. Ensuring corrective actions are document and followed up. - Maintain and update the site EHS records, reports, and databases e.g. Waste, Safety stats, COSHH inventory. - Develop and review risk assessments, COSHH assessments, work instructions identifying safety critical steps with Team Leaders and Supervisors. - Assist in the investigation of accidents/incidents/near misses and observations, identifying root cause, implementing corrective actions, and recording them on the internal management systems. - Support internal safety initiatives, toolbox talks and EHS awareness programs. - Monitor and maintain process to enable implementation of emergency response, such as first aid and fire alarm requirements. - Support with onsite EHS and Continuous Improvement projects - Attend EHS forums or workshops as required, take responsibility for elements of the business EHS management system. - Facilitate inductions where required for contractors and new employees. - Collaborate with Supervisors and Team leaders to promote and enhance a positive safety culture. " Qualifications: NEBOSH General Certificate, IOSH Managing Safely, Environmental qualification - Training agreement available 1 to 3 years working experience in an EHS supporting role, preferably in a manufacturing environment Skills: Exceptional IT knowledge and experience on Microsoft systems such as PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook. Good knowledge and experience of regulatory compliance including ISO14001/45001/50001 standards, excellent written and verbal skills.
