Location: OFFICE BASED: Aberdeen, UK Key Responsibilities: * Work with an international team on cutting-edge technology projects, developing and maintaining software systems in C++ and Python on Linux platforms, with a focus on high-performance media solutions. * Utilize your embedded software experience to integrate low-level hardware functionalities and optimize performance across media compression and video/audio pipelines. * Collaborate with a distributed team across the UK and globally on innovative media processing projects. * Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and continuous integration (CI/CD) processes using GitLab. * Support the design and development of containerized deployments using Docker. Essential Qualifications & Attributes: * A PhD / MSc or BSc in Computer Science or a related field. * Strong programming skills in C++ and Python. * Proficiency with Linux environments and systems programming. * Experience with embedded software development and a solid understanding of hardware-software integration. * Familiarity with Docker, GitLab CI/CD, and containerized deployments. * Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with an ability to work in an agile, collaborative environment.
