Accountable Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a growing, UK-based organisation in the Cheshire who are seeking to appoint an experienced Interim Financial Controller on an initial 3-6 month contract.
This interim opportunity is ideal for a technically strong and commercially aware Financial Controller who is available to start immediately.
Salary/Benefits:
* £350 - £500 per day (depending on experience)
* 3-6 month interim contract
* Hybrid, 3 days in Cheshire, 2 days from home
Job Duties:
* Act as a key financial partner to the senior leadership team, supporting decision-making and strategic planning.
* Oversee the organisation's financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with internal and external standards.
* Lead the implementation and monitoring of financial controls to safeguard company assets.
* Deliver insightful financial reporting to support performance improvement and strategic initiatives.
* Manage month-end and year-end close processes and liaise with auditors.
* Drive continuous improvement across finance processes including automation and simplification.
* Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
* Provide technical support and first-line review of financial reports.
* Deliver statutory and management accounts under IFRS & UK GAAP.
* Lead treasury management including cashflow forecasting and working capital improvements.
* Ensure tax compliance across corporation tax, VAT, and payroll.

Ideal Experience:
* Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
* Immediately available or available at very short notice
* Previous experience in an interim Financial Controller role
* Strong background in statutory reporting, financial controls, and compliance
* Demonstrated experience in managing finance teams through change or transition
* Commercially astute with the ability to support senior decision-makers
* Advanced Excel skills and ideally experience with SAP or similar ERP systems
* Effective communicator with strong leadership skills in a fast-paced environment
